Free Texas Hold’em poker online
Real people, a dealer, braziers along the walls and a deck shuffled fairly on the server. Take a seat in the Temple of Fortune — no download, no real money.
Yes, it is free — and it runs in your browser
Anubis City is a social casino: you play poker with debens that we give you for free. There is nothing to install and nothing to pay. Open the game, walk to the Temple of Fortune on the right-hand side of the square, choose a table and sit down.
The game is No-Limit Texas Hold’em, the most popular poker variant in the world. If you have never played, our hand rankings and rules will get you going in a few minutes.

Three tables, three levels of stakes
| Table | Blinds | Buy-in | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scribes’ Table | 50 / 100 | 1,000 – 20,000 | Your first hands and relaxed games |
| Priests’ Table | 500 / 1,000 | 10,000 – 200,000 | Players who know what a check-raise is |
| Pharaoh’s Table | 5,000 / 10,000 | 100,000 – 2,000,000 | The high rollers of the city |
Every table comes with 5 or 9 seats and two speeds: normal, with 15 seconds per move, and turbo, with 8. You can buy in with anything from 10 to 200 big blinds, so you can play short-stacked or deep.
How a hand goes at our tables

- The two players to the left of the dealer button post the small and big blinds.
- Everyone is dealt two cards face down — they are sent to you alone.
- The first betting round begins: fold, call or raise. A slider and the quick buttons — Min, ½ pot, Pot and Max — help you size your bet.
- Three shared cards — the flop — appear in the middle, then a fourth (the turn) and a fifth (the river), each followed by a round of betting.
- At the showdown the best five-card hand wins, and the table names the winning combination.
Side pots, split pots and all-ins follow the standard rules of the game, so you can keep your mind on your decisions.
Opponents marked “AI”
There are not always enough people around to fill a table, so computer opponents take the empty seats. They play by sensible rules, they never see your cards, and they always carry an “AI” mark on their nameplate — you always know who is who.
Fair dealing
- The deck is shuffled on the server with a cryptographically secure random number generator and the Fisher–Yates method.
- Your hole cards are sent to your screen only. Other players see them only if they are shown at the showdown.
- The server checks every action: nobody can bet more than they have or act out of turn.
- If your connection drops, your seat is held for 30 seconds so you can come back and carry on.
Chips, debens and leaving the table
When you sit down, your buy-in moves from your purse to the table as chips. Running low? Top up between hands. Need a break? Press “Step away” and come back when you are ready. When you stand up, your chips return to your purse — and if the server ever restarts in the middle of a game, the chips on the table are returned to you automatically.
Talk across the table
Chat works at the table just as it does in the square, and quick phrases — “Good luck, everyone!”, “Good game”, “Wow!”, “Ra is with me”, “Thanks” — are a click away.
Poker questions
