Life in the city
Anubis City is a social game first of all. Here is how people meet, talk and spend time together on the banks of the Nile.
Chat with speech bubbles
Press Enter and type: your words appear in a bubble above your character’s head and in the chat log. Everyone in the city sees them.
Short on words? Quick phrases are a click away: “Hello!”, “Glory to Ra!”, “Anyone for poker?”, “Thanks”, “Bye!”.
Wave, dance, clap
Ten emotes: wave, two dances, clap, cheer, laugh, bow with a hand on the heart, shrug, think and blow a kiss. Three are always under the game, “More” opens all ten, and on a keyboard they sit on keys 1–0. It is the easiest way to say “I’m here” to a stranger on the square.
AI residents
Twenty-four residents controlled by the computer walk the streets, gather at the fountain and answer when you greet them. They are always marked “AI”, so you know who is who.
Friends and profiles
Add people to your friends: requests, who is online and where, “Go to friend” and “Invite here”. Write private messages, give debens and hearts. Click a character to open the full profile: about me, level and rank, stats at the table, mutual friends and the wall of gifts.
Dynasties
Clubs with their own hierarchy — a pharaoh, viziers, priests and scribes — shared goals and a place on the city leaderboards.
Festivals
City-wide celebrations like the Opet festival: decorations on the square, special music and treats for everyone who comes.
Your home town
Show where you are from with a flag next to your name, compete in country and city leaderboards and help your town become the City of the Week.
Be a good neighbour
- Be kind. Arguments happen at the poker table; insults have no place in the city.
- No spam, no advertising and no begging for debens.
- Do not share personal data — yours or anyone else’s.
- The chat filters rude words automatically, and repeated flooding is slowed down.
